RE: IS WORKERS COMP. IN VIOLATION OF THE 14TH AMENDMENT TO THE U. S. CONSTITUTION?

Dear Senator Rainey:

Please find enclosed updated information regarding my case. This is in further reference to the documentation that I left with your District Representative, Scott Wilson, back in June.

The attached Summary of Hearing is in reference to the Subpoena Duces Tecum of March 6, 1997, relevant to my case. You will be able to find this document in the binder I left with Scott Wilson. My move to declare unconstitutional the Labor Code sections and other provisions governing workers’ compensation, which result in my not being able to obtain an attorney, is addressed at the beginning of the summary of hearing document.

I filed the referred to petition for removal (page 2, lines 3, 4 and 5 of the summary) on October 15, 1997 and you should have already received a copy.

Regardless of the decision of the Workers’ Compensation Board or the courts, legislative remedy is absolutely necessary to even the playing field.

Sincerely,

Charles R. Engel
