A. Business Agents shall work under the direction
of the President and the Secretary-Treasurer and shall attend to all controversies
between this Union and the employers and endeavor to reach a settlement
as soon as possible. They shall adjust grievances in accordance with the
provisions of the applicable collective bargaining agreements.
B. Business Agents under the direction of the Secretary-Treasurer and President
shall initiate, conduct and conclude negotiations with the employers on
behalf of the membership.
C. Business Agents shall endeavor to see that members keep themselves in
good standing and abide by these Bylaws, the I.B.T. Constitution, Hiring
Hall Rules and collective bargaining agreements.
D. Business Agents shall endeavor to attend all General Membership, Shop
Steward, Staff, Special Called Meetings and other meetings of the Labor
bodies with which this Union is affiliated or may affiliate with.
E. Business Agents shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to
them by this President, Secretary-Treasurer or Executive Board of this
Union collectively.
F. Business Agents shall be empowered to appoint the
Steward or Stewards at their respective terminals, etc., provided that
they first give those involved the opportunity for election of such.
