Dear Ms. Mansfield:
This letter constitutes a formal complaint and request for the election
officer to initiate an investigation of the illegal removal of pro Carey,
pro democratic reform stewards and the illegal appointment of pro Hoffa,
pro status quo shop stewards at the United Parcel Service Oakland Hub.
Local 70 has failed to remedy this situation in accordance with the by-laws,
which supercede the Shop Steward Rules and Regulations for Local 70, by
refusing to have democratic elections as of the date of this writing,
The attached documentation outlines the blatant, systematic practice of
illegally removing pro Carey, pro democratic reform shop stewards from
office and illegally replacing them with pro Hoffa, pro status quo stewards.
The fore mentioned documentation exemplifies a mockery of the democratic
process and an open contempt for the By-laws and the Shop Steward Rules
and Regulations for Teamster Local 70.
These actions directly influence the election for President of the lnternational
Brotherhood of Teamsters.
