Re: MONTEREY PANEL

Dear Dan:

This letter is reference to our phone conversation today. I would like to clarify my position relevant to participating in the grievance panel scheduled in Monterey the beginning of next month.

I request a postponement of our hearing until United Parcel Service provides us with the documents that have been requested in pre panel discovery. If anyone involved in these proceedings has reason to believe that I am requesting documentation that either doesn't exist or I am not entitled to, they should state so in writing.

I am not concerned with uncovering documentation that would compromise myself at the workplace. I am attempting to determine the truth. Given a choice between accepting an environment lenient to discrimination or being part of a workforce striving for mutual honesty and respect, I'll choose the latter.

Again, please consider this letter to be a formal request to postpone the hearing of our scheduled grievances until United Parcel Service complies with our requests.
