Dear Dan:

This letter is a formal request that you accompany me to file the following charges at the Oakland office of the National Labor Relations Board. I would like to file next week. There are two charges that I wish to file. Both charges are under Section 8(a)(5) of the National Labor Relations Act.

1. United Parcel Service is willfully withholding information that is relevant to collective bargaining. Specifically, I am requesting information on all company policies or rules whose violation would result in disciplinary action, including suspension or discharge. This charge is in reference to actions taken against me, our conversations and documentation that I have sent to your office.

2. United Parcel Service has failed to provide documentation requested in a formal information request. This charge is relevant to the information requests, dated 11-22-96, regarding jurisdictional grievances pertaining to the airport and the fuel reports jobs.

Thanks again for your continuing assistance in dealing with these matters.
